By way of introduction, I've been asked what constitutes a mature and senior dog. Dogs mature between one and two years, smaller breeds sooner, larger breeds towards two years.
Seniors are considered 7 years and older. Again, younger dogs seem to last longer, larger breeds move into their senior years earlier.
